Talked about this a lot today. From the chapter in the book:

"Political correctness is externally driven; being inclusive is internally driven. When people do something they consider to be “politically correct” (using certain terms, acknowledging certain groups, etc.), it often conflicts with their values—they are doing it because they have been told they should, even if they don’t believe so themselves. In contrast, when people do things they consider to be “inclusive,” even if these things are the same as the ‘politically correct’ things, they never conflict with their values because being inclusive is a value." http://ift.tt/1qGdiAo

A reminder: social justice is about equity, not equality.

Equity: (1) the quality of being fair or impartial; fairness; impartiality:
“the equity of Solomon”; (2) something that is FAIR and JUST.

Equality: the state or quality of being equal; correspondence in quantity, degree, value, rank, or ability.

Those are from dictionary.com. I also write about them in my book, but not so succinctly :) http://ift.tt/1qc0y47

My most popular comic (which makes sense, because who doesn’t want to identify as awesome?) is popping up all over the web again. Weird how the internet works that way… Anyhoo, ICYMI: http://ift.tt/1mdLw8G

haveyouseensex:

We had S.E.X. last weekend. Twice. And we gotta say, considering it was our first time, it wasn’t as painful, awkward, or embarrassing as it could have been — it was actually a lot of fun!

(Read this review of Friday’s show on The Horn if you don’t believe us)

We’re definitely going to do…

If you like It’s Pronounced Metrosexual, you’ll love S.E.X. We’re gonna do it again. Tell a friend.
